

Production Manager

Kenar has been an inseparable part of my life for 10 years. I started as a laborer at a night shift. I passed through the department for ready-to-cook meals, then the culinary sector, afterwards through the management of the bases for food materials and ready-to-cook meals in Peturch village.
Now I’m responsible for the design and building of the new factory in Opicvet village. The object is really monumental. I still can remember the time when the idea of it seemed to us an unrealizable dream...
We have started building the first and one and only in scale and quality, not only in Bulgaria but on the whole Balkan Peninsula, factory that will merge 4 enterprises in one. We plan to put it into operation in the middle of 2006.
Simultaneously, progresses the design of the base for preparation of raw materials for the Canning department that will be located in the Plovdiv’s region. We intend to reconstruct the existing production base in the capital city and to transform it into a large "parent-company" for catering. I’ll not reveal a secret if I say that it will be the largest in the country and will provide the highest quality possible that can be achieved here.
We plan to construct a big administrative building in Sofia, supermarkets...
I don’t feel the years passing in Kenar. Maybe because we don’t stop developing new projects, maybe because we develop ourselves constantly, maybe because we put our hearts into our work.
We aren’t afraid of competition. On the contrary – we are happy that there is competition.
We are full of ideas. There is nothing that we can’t produce.


Chief Accountant of the production in the Petarch base

The beginning for me was in production - 7 years ago. I was in the packaging department, after that I took up the storehouse for Frozen products and moved on to my current position.
We achieved many things in Kenar. The conditions, the work organization, the quality of production – they all are improved constantly.
From the very beginning we lived with the ideas and the projects for the development of Kenar. Here I proved myself. I feel myself highly estimated as an employee and most importantly – I feel that I found the right place for me.
We have passed through more then one or two hard situations so there is no one and nothing that can frighten us.
Years later we will be even stronger, more stable, more successful. Challenges are our power.


Technologist, Petarch base

I started working in Kenar 3 years ago, I was still a student in the University of food technologies. I was looking for a job suitable for my major in the university, I came across a job advertisement of Kenar and after three interviews I started as a technologist in the base in Sofia, and later on in the one in Petarch.
My first day at work was my first acquaintance with real production. The machines and technologies, about which I only read before, now depended on my competent decisions. That urged me to give the best of me. And so on, till now.
In 2003 we developed and implemented the Best production practices. I can responsibly say that here, in Kenar these are the real practices in food production. We consider this to be our duty first towards the clients and then – towards ourselves, towards our professionalism.
In 10 years time I see Kenar still being the leader in the production of foods that meet the highest quality standards.
